Wondering where your next pancake breakfast is coming from?
Posted 7/4/2008 2:00:00 PM
The great thing about Stampede is you don't have to pay for breakfast over the next 10 days. There is no shortage of pancake breakfasts around the city. But how do you find out where they are? Which ones are close to home? Close to work?

Calgary's Karo Group has designed a webpage that helps you find what pancake breakfast best suits you. You can search by date, by quadrant and even which ones are closest to where you wish to go.

Another Ring Road Lesson
Posted 7/2/2008 9:00:00 AM
I feel so out of touch, so out of the loop. I must have missed the announcement regarding a landmark deal to proceed with the southwest portion of the Calgary ring road.

In late May, Premier Ed Stelmach blurted out that he expected a deal in place by the end of June, saying things were "aligned much better than they were a number of weeks ago." Since then, I've been anticipating an announcement the way a child waits for Santa Claus.

Okay, perhaps I really didn't believe there would be a deal. After all, Calgarians have been duped time and time again into believing an agreement was imminent. Why should this time be any different?
